One of the places I like to stop at while I am in Vermont is the Dam Diner. It is actually located near a Dam ( did you really think I would use such profanity while describing wonderful food?) It is really more of a dive than a diner but then again that is just a judgment call. It has unique decor. Every table is different and the entire front window is full of vintage McCoy and Shawnee pottery. My favorite thing to eat is the Thanksgiving sandwich;two slices of home made bread with turkey, dressing, Cabot cheddar cheese and cranberry sauce. It is WONDERFUL. This trip I also had a blondie brownie sundae. It is not every day that I eat like this but boy oh boy was it worth the splurge.

This is our server Betty joining in the fun after we had finished eating. She is so great and hospitable and as you can tell by the picture a very good sport to put up with our silliness. Linda is behind her and Linda's Mum is the lovely lady in blue. Our good friend Priscilla rounded out our entourage and really helped us have a great time. We always go on a drive while we are there and Linda's Mum is always so generous to act as tour guide and den Mother, keeping us all in line. I can't wait until next year.
