If you read my blog from last Thursday you will know that I was torturing myself about paint chip colors. I couldn't and still can't decide on a color and I was whining a bit about the seductive names that the paint companies use to entice us. My friend Laurie at
www.magpieethel.typepad.comsent me a great comment and said she was going to get a color called "Old Pickup Blue" to paint a table. I thought that was a great name and filed it in the wrinkled recesses of my brain. Well, as life often does, surprise, surprise I saw the perfect old pickup blue on Saturday. I had gone to visit the cemetery for Memorial day and right next to where we always park was this fabulous truck. It is a 1949 and was completely restored by the owner in 2007. He kindly let us take this picture and even let us get a shot of the interior.

He said that people ask him for permission to take pictures all the time and he really enjoys it. However, he said that the last lady who wanted a picture actually climbed up and lay-ed across the hood. He was of course none too happy and agree that we could take as many pictures as we wanted as long as we didn't lay on it. I am really not a lay on a truck kind of gal so we settled on me and my cheesy grin just standing along side. Wouldn't you just love to own this truck? I am afraid I would have to paint it yellow to go with the Vintage Chicks but a gal can dream can't she?
