No this is not my latest find from an estate sale. It is just an image I am using to accompany my blog today. I had to spend an impressive amount of time even finding something that was compatible with my own sensibilities. I finally decided this was the best and most tasteful picture, considering the subject matter. Now I will admit I was a fan of the television show "Six Feet Under." I enjoyed the dark humor and the quirky characters but I never really enjoyed the LAB scenes. I think mortician science is a very needed and respected profession but not one I personally would like to pursue. So it came as a shock to me to find that there are several practicing morticians with my exact name. I will try to clear up this rather strange and rambling blog. A few weeks ago a person was trying to contact me. They read the newspaper article about the furniture whisperer and they Googled my name. They did indeed get in touch with me and all was well. When they told me they Googled me I decided I would Google myself and see what was out there. The usual expected stuff was all there but as I studied further I found that my name is evidently a very popular name for those owning mortuaries. Not just in one place but in several different states over several generations. It was a real trip to see it in black and white. I always thought I had a rather unusual name but I guess the world is a very small place. I am going to stay away from Google for awhile. There are some things I would just as soon not know about. Call me an ostrich or call me a coward but I am not going into the family business.
